Ole Miss 24 LSU 19

LSU

Wow. Today was about as perfect a day of college football as I’ve ever known. First of all, Ole Miss whipped LSU. The score makes it look closer than it actually was, mostly due to penalties. Ole Miss racked up 14 flags for over 100 yards. If you throw out that stat, Ole Miss wins this game by at least a couple of touchdowns. The Ole Miss defense found itself, rushing three defensive linemen all game and daring LSU to run it. It couldn’t, and so the LSU quarterback had to shoulder the load, and he was not up to the task. Trinidad Chambliss was lights out yet again for the Rebels offense, playing with poise, passing with precision, and scrambling for 75 yards. The guy has that spark about him, that X-factor. Add a running game led by half-back Kewan Lacey, an offensive line that is offering good pass protection and generating a stable pocket, and you’ve got an offense that can score some points. I told people during the preseason that this Ole Miss team was going to be better than last year, and most people scoffed, but this team is looking special.

Secondly, Mississippi State came close to upsetting Tennessee, but dropped the heartbreaker in overtime. LOL.

Lastly, Georgia lost at home to Alabama. LOL.

Just about as perfect a day of college football as I can imagine.

Hotty Fucking Toddy!
