Ole Miss 39 Mississippi State 19 - Kiffin Plays the Heel
Nov 30, 25Ole Miss was the better team and swatted away little brother with ease. Hotty Toddy.
To Hell With Lane Kiffin
Afterward, Kiffin played the heel, pretended that he wanted to fight a reporter who had said in his podcast “you don’t make a hoe into a housewife”, then in the press conferences, told that reporter that he didn’t even know that reporter’s name. Of course, he does, and Kiffin was just playing the heel.
In all of the college football broadcasts, almost as if a memo went out, commentators chided Ole Miss, saying that Kiffin ought to be allowed to coach Ole Miss in the playoff, that Ole Miss ought to swallow its pride and let the man finish the season.
What all of this has revealed to me is that the agents and their PR teams control the narratives, and they control much of what passes for college football. It is intolerable to me, as someone who can see right through all of this bullshit. When I look at comment threads on Facebook and the like, most people can’t see behind the curtains at all.
Though we were told an annoucement would come on Saturday, the only information that came out was that Kiffin (as ostensibly Kiffin’s handlers) met with Keith Carter and Glen Boyce at the Chancellor’s house late Saturday afternoon, and that LSU is flying Kiffin to Baton Rouge Sunday morning. If all of this true, here’s what is happening: Kiffin has agreed to coach at LSU, and he is trying to extort Ole Miss into letting him coach the playoff game, probably by threatening it with taking the assistant coaches and a portion of the players.
There is no way in Hell Kiffin ought to be allowed to coach the playoff game at this point. No way. If Ole Miss caves to this extortion, I will be done, and I am not kidding. I’ve done it before. It is easy as pie to turn off from this stuff. I didn’t follow Ole Miss at all from 2016 to 2021. What I learned is that if I didn’t actively make the effort to follow college football, it is as if it doesn’t exist. I promise you, if Kiffin coaches this playoff game, I will check out completely. College football, like everything else in this miserable country, is just fake and gay, and it is just entertainment, and I can find more interesting uses of my time and attention.
