Rebs 27 Pigs 20

Ole Miss defeated Arkansas 27-20 at Oxford, and the fireworks from last week’s game at LSU evaporated. This game was a slog. Penalties proliferated. The pig’s game plan seemed to be relying on the refs to call holding at opportune moments, and it worked well at slowing down the Rebels offense.

Seriously, holding is a bullshit call 100% of the time. Every single time. That’s because it can be called on every play because it occurs on every play. I’m not exaggerating. Watch any game, freeze the frame, and you can find a player holding another player. Every single time. That means that holding, when it is called, is always being called selectively. That means holding is bullshit.

I digress.

The Rebels defense seemed improved. Hard to tell, really, if it was improved or if the pig offense was inept.

The Rebels have completed the first half of the season 5-1, and they are headed into a bye week before they head to Auburn to take on the Tigers on October 21.

Hotty Toddy!
