Ole Miss Spring Game and Baseball Check-In

The Ole Miss Rebels baseball team sits at 20-16, 5-10 in conference play. They are coming off two wins against archrival Mississippi State heading into games against Arkansas State, and then a league series at Georgia. Looking over the remaining schedule, there’s still enough games to put the Rebels into the post season, but the Rebs pretty much need to win every series. The Rebs have yet to rebound from winning the national champtionship in 2022.

We attended the spring game this past Saturday, the Grove Bowl. Kiffin made it kind of a weird event, and the game was flag football, no tackle. It’s fine. I am completely persuaded by the arguments that you don’t get a lot out of the spring game, and it’s better to save those injuries. It was boring as it could possibly be, though, to be in attendance. I just wasn’t into it at all.
